Contemporary Kitchen Mottingham
A kitchen extension gave Mr & Mrs Lane the freedom to have a kitchen design which works for their whole family. Following up on a friends recommendation and having seen their Ream Kitchen in New Eltham, Mr & Mrs Lane were looking for inspiration for a new kitchen design for their extension. With the major building works complete, it was time to focus on an open-plan-kitchen-dining area that could be used for cooking and socialising. Having explored kitchen ideas in magazines and online, the couple liked the modern and clean White handleless kitchen cabinet style.
In order to create the ideal space, Dennis, Reams Kitchen Designer at the New Eltham showroom, worked with Mr & Mrs Lanes brief to achieve a fresh and airy kitchen design where the insides meets the outside area. The design met the desire for plenty of storage with pull out drawers, corner cupboards and pull out larder and cupboards. Further to the brief was AEG appliances to integrate around an American fridge freezer, an induction hob and stylish Elica extractor.
The Ream installation team, headed by Alfie’s team to fit the new contemporary kitchen. “The installation was very good”, comments Mrs Lane, “apart from the size of the sink, which was questionable at the time, but its fine.”
Favourite part of the kitchen: “The amount of work surface to prepare dishes on. I am impressed with the appliances and warming drawer in particular, says Mrs Lane. “The orange splashback came later to uplift the white and grey. Mrs Lane also took inspiration from home improvements website Houzz to clad the kitchen post in mirrors to add more light in the room and the feeling of more space.”
